J. Emerson McGowan is an film, TV and occasional stage Actor based currently on the East Coast and prefers to be called Emerson. Since his growing up in a city of entertainment in the 50's; think burlesque and diving bells, really was the catalyst for his need to be in The Business.

With his genial persona, he has managed to work on the Chappelle Show's first season; Happy Birtday Harris Malden feature and recently has been forever ensconsed in the African American Museum of Philadelphia's "Standing on the Shoulders" permanent Exhibition (directed by Tonea Stewart) and has a national commercial currently running for Cooper University Hospital System (Kelly Ripa - Lead).

J. Emerson thoroughly enjoys being booked and when not booked, still enjoys developing short Shorts (video that is), writing off-beat pieces, fixing computers, doing Internet research and building his professional and social networks.
