I am a voice, accent, and communication coach with an MFA in Voice Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Based in Washington, DC, I offer private coaching sessions and group workshops for actors and executives – both online and in person – on movement, breathing, vocal production, dialects, accent modification, presence and communication, and public speaking. With a BFA in Musical Theatre and years of onstage experience, I am passionate about contributing my expertise to the worlds of theatre and film, as well as bringing elements of performance training into the corporate arena.
As a second generation Cuban American, and having spent my childhood as a minority living in the Middle East, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are essential and constant components of my life and practice. I am currently a Junior Board Member for the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), an organization that prides itself in being at the forefront of EDI in the fields of voice, speech, and higher education.
Because voice is a manifestation of self, improving one's function of, and relationship to, their voice is inherently an act of self-improvement. I am passionate about equipping my students and clients with valuable vocal tools and techniques, as well as facilitating a deeper connection to the self.
